Last I checked I'm not a bundle bunch of twigs nor am I a lesbian.

Last I checked I'm a human being, who happens to be pansexual.

Last I checked sexuality was a born fact, not an insult.

But now...

Apparently the way I look either makes me transgendered or a full out dyke.

Apparently being a homosexual is the highest insult to be given.

Apparently being a homosexual is a disgusting choice made by dirty perverts.

Apparently I'm a leacher that preys on helpless heterosexual females.

Apparently, apparently, apparently...

Apparently as the years go by more individuals express their ignorance through hatred towards strangers who have done them no wrong what so ever personally.

Don't flatter yourself.

Why would anyone find attraction in someone with such a hideous personality such as yours?

Don't fret, I forgive you.

I'm sure there is a logical reason behind your toxic words and actions.

It's true, sometimes I am angry as well...

Angry of not understanding why your mind is so tainted with rage you cannot see the simple fact: We are the same.

You are no better than me.

And I, am no better than you.

We are equals.

We are all living, breathing creatures living on the same planet.

Breathing the same air.

We all feel pain.

We all feel sorrow.

We all feel terror.

We all feel lonely.

We all feel hope.

We all feel love.

Try all you might, you cannot hide this from me.

Go ahead, call me a faggot.

Call me a lesbian.

Call me a pervert.

Call me an abomination.

Call me disgusting.

Why should it affect me?

I know who I am, but do you know who you are?
I've been called various degrading names for as long as I can remember, my appearance is the main target it would seem. Recently I've been called 'faggot' quite a bit, by complete strangers. Based on how short my hair is, the way I dress appropriately by weather, and the simple fact of having rainbow musical notes on my back pack.

I cut my hair because I wanted to try something new, and I ended up liking how it looked on me.
I happen to wear clothes that cover up my body, just by chance, and refuse to wear a tiny mini skirt, a tube top, and high heels I can't even walk in on a cold winter's day.
I have a rainbow back pack because it was on sale, and yes, I'lll be honest, to represent some pride but mostly because I liked it best.

Some individuals should know by now that the human race is far more complex then they're leading themselves on to believe. :]

And obviously, no one brave enough to say a bad word about you. It's almost like if you made this up. I find it hard to believe that people tormented you through your entire life. Wake up. You won. You can legally marry and create children through means that are morally questionable at best or downright abominable at worst. What else do you want? Why not try to change? Have you ever, ever, ever considered that maybe homosexuality is a mental disease? No? Why? Because it's cool to be gay? Because LGBT says otherwise?

yep, i perfectly see your point, but what i don't understand is the gay pride parade, most of the people there are like sexually-deranged gerbils wearing half-naked gimp suits, for the love of anything that's decent, how do you expect people to respect you when something that's supposed to represent "gay pride" looks like a giant orgy?

:) Props man. I know what it means to be judged for appearance or for choices we make. Keep on going!

I can relate to this. I've been called a faggot more times than I'd care to count, because to the people I'm surrounded by, Pansexual is the same as gay. I really can't stand it wen people don't care to try and understand what they try to use as insults

I've never been the target of insults like these, and to be honest I've not met many who have, but I do hear terms like this being used in a derogatory way almost everyday, and the people using them think it's funny, or don't care how much they can hurt.

Why would anyone find attraction in someone with such a hideous personality such as yours?

This line really sums up how I feel about the people I talked about.

My heart goes out to anyone hurt by others for being who they are.

This... instantly fave'd. I get my fair share of homophobic insults, mostly because of the way I dress. Not that they care that I'm in a committed hetero relationship, anyone that knows that I'm pansexual decides to use that against me and throw gay slurs.

Humanity at it's most moronic.... ah, how far we've risen above the animals we claim to no longer be.

an add to my previous comment...
i find that almost every deviation that has to do with people who were bullied by the general crowd (usually of the teenage variety (and EVERYONE has been bullied for SOMETHING at least once in their life)), i find (unlike in this one) that they go a bit overboard...such as,
-angry words and vulgar language taking up most of the deviation...
-self righteousness.

although i understand their frustration, i like how you went about this :D

good job with keeping your cool on this; the usual objective to bullying is to get you riled up. i respect your self-control.

At least i don't whine when I'm called a faggot. :U
Though I guess you made a poem about it so it's okay to rant on how you get insulted, seriously, why not just get past it?
Also, I think some people are better than others.

yep, I believe all hate is born from fear, and all fear is born from ignorance. If you teach people about things they are afraid of, then they might not hate it anymore.

hey supper kick-ass poem i really liked it mostly because its true. I'm not a homosexual myself but i found it really touching and true. In a personal thought i really do think that every body should be treated equally and fairly for the way they are. :3

Powerful...I would just say to play with the line breaks a bit more. They're a tad predictable. The concept is lovely, though.

One nitpicky detail - you used the wrong form of "effect"/"affect". "Effect" is the noun, "affect" is (generally) the verb.
